Day One: Chengdu Arrival
Today, you will arrive in Chengdu. You tour guide will wait for you at the Chengdu railway station or airport. Then, you will be driven to your hotel. The day is free for you when you check in your hotel.
Day Two: Chengdu Tour and Leshan Tour
In the morning, you will be driven to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center. Here is the home of pandas. With the area of 230- hectare, this research center hosts thousands of tourists every day. It will take you two and half an hour to visit this park.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to Leshan where you can visit the famous Giant Buddha. The best way for travelers to visit the Buddha is to take a boat. Then, after your Leshan tour, you will come back to Chengdu.
Day Three: Lhasa Arrival
In the morning, you will travel to Tibet from Chengdu by air. Your tour guide will wait for you at Lhasa airport and you will be driven to your hotel in Lhasa. The day is free for you. You should have a good rest in your hotel in order to adapt for the high altitude sickness.
Day Four: Lhasa Tour
In the morning, you will visit the landmark of Tibet – the Potala Palace. In the past, it was used as the winter palace for Dalai Lama. But now, it has become a museum where you can see many ancient antiques. It is a good place for travelers to know about Tibetan culture and history. In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang Temple where many pilgrims pray. Outside Jokhang Temple, you can see many groceries on Barkhor street. Here, you can buy some traditional Tibetan items.
Day Five: Lhasa Tour
Today, you will head to Shigatse from Lhasa. In Shigatse, there is a famous lake called Yamdrok Lake. As one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, Yamdrok Lake attracts thousands of travelers by its beautiful views.
Then, you will travel to Gyantse. Here, you can have a visit in Pelkor Chode Monastery.
Day Six: From Shigatse to Lhasa
In the morning, you will visit Tashilunpo Monastery. This is the home of Panchen Lama. After lunch, you will be driven back to Lhasa.
Day Seven: Depart From Lhasa
